- 🍽️ Servings: 12 squares
Ingredients
- 400 ml (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 340 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup coloured mini marshmallows
Prep
Grease an 8x8-inch pan with butter or neutral-flavoured oil.
Stovetop Directions
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a saucepan. Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly, until the chocolate is completely melted. Once the mixture is smooth, remove the pan from the heat.
Slow-Cooker Directions
- Combine the sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a slow cooker. Turn heat to low and check every 5-10 minutes while the mixture heats through. When the chocolate chips have completely melted, turn off the heat and remove the bowl of the slow cooker. You can place the bowl of the slow cooker on a towel to protect the countertop from the heat.
Final Steps
- Stir the vanilla extract into the chocolate and milk mixture.
- Add the marshmallows and stir just enough to cover them with the chocolate mixture, but don’t stir too much or they will melt.
- Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Once set, the squares can be cut and stored at room temperature.
